Children
learn about God’s grace and the love of Jesus Christ for them.
Classes
for 2 year olds to 6th grade
use the Firelight curriculum
from
Augsburg, which presents Bible stories in age-appropriate ways.
Lessons use art, science, drama, and technology options for learning
about God’s grace and love.
 Confirmation
Class
7th and 8th graders use the “Here We Stand”
curriculum from Augsburg. Lessons include Power Point
presentations, small group discussions, skits, and The Lutheran
Handbook. Topics discussed will include The Apostle’s Creed,
The Ten Commandments, and The Old Testament.
9th
Grade Class
Weekly topics include sharing of students’ highs and lows during the
previous week. News, Clues, and Reviews (where is God in the
news?), word of the week, and thematic issues are discussed. Topics
are relevant to the age group and their interests.
High School Class
Faith Lens is a weekly Bible study and discussion for youth, linking
current news stories to scripture. This curriculum is a resource of
the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
ADULT SUNDAY
SCHOOL

Parsonage- Main Street
Rainbow class:
An in-depth look at scripture passages and their meaning.
Prism class: Topical series on
matters of faith based upon the interests of class members.
Faith Journeys: Beliefs that is
basic to the Christian faith and to Lutherans.
Additional Opportunities for Spiritual Growth
Holy Grounds:
Bible study, beginning with Genesis. Reading books of the Bible in
order and discussing. Meets Thursday mornings, 9:30 AM-
11:00 AM in the parsonage.
Small Groups:
Adult groups
who meet once a month on various days and times. A variety of Bible
study topics. 8-10 people per group.
