Growing Together Through God's Grace
  Social Ministry

The Social Ministry Committee succeeds because of many volunteers from the congregation. The following are some of our many projects we do on an annual basis:

  • Project Outreach - We staff this community food pantry approximately 8 times a year. With "Souper Bowl" Sunday, and food and monetary donations from our congregation, we are able to see that the less fortunate have food on their tables.

  • Tape Ministry - Our Sunday services are audio taped (soon to be video taped) so that people who cannot attend worship can hear the services at home.

  • Crop Walk - This project occurs annually to defeat world hunger.

  • Montgomery County Geriatric Center Services - Services are led twice a year by Pastor Neff and Pastor Krais. Members of our congregation volunteer their time to assist the patients with these services.

  • Advent Project - The Warm Wooly Tree brings hats, mittens, scarves, and blankets to the Lutheran and Children Family Services.

  • St. Mary's Franciscan Shelter - This shelter relies on community support for meals to abused women and their children. Our church usually provides meals two to three weeks per year.

  • Grace Line - This is a family help network to provide short term assistance to families in time of need.

  • Lenten Project - Donations from this project go to help young members of Grace as well as various relief efforts around the country.
